ERBIUM LASER PEEL

If you have wrinkles around the eyes, mouth or forehead, scars from acne, or areas of uneven pigmentation, then you may be a good candidate for laser skin peels.   Our Erbium Laser is designed to remove superficial scaring and moderately deep lines and wrinkles. We offer the “Lunch Time Peel” and “Weekend Peel” to improve damaged skin, eliminate age spots and reduce wrinkles and scarring.  The “Weekend Peel” will give you more dramatic results but you will need to plan for 2-3 days of “downtime”.

·     Laser skin resurfacing (laser peel) removes skin very precisely, layer by layer. 

·      Treatments are performed on an outpatient basis and can be performed with local anesthesia in combination with a mild sedative to help you relax.

 ·     Our “Lunchtime” and “Weekend” Laser Peels cause minimal side effects, such as swelling and redness which goes away after one to three days. Then peeling may occur for up to five days. 

 ·     Makeup may be applied to the treated area immediately after a "lunchtime" peel (with physician approval.)  Use a moisturizer with SPF30 sunblock and avoid sun exposure to avoid irritation.

·     Improvements in pigment, skin texture and skin laxity can be seen within a few days after first treatment.   With each subsequent treatment, subtle changes will accumulate until you have achieved the improvement desired.

 ·     A series of three “Weekend Peels”  to six “Lunchtime Peels,” spaced about four weeks apart, is our standard recommendation.  Periodic maintenance treatments may be prescribed for optimal, lasting results.

 ·     A Laser Peel Treatment on the face can take up to one hour.
