Acne Treatments using Photodynamic Therapy (Levulan®) with Laser and BLU-U® light.

Photodynamic therapy with Levulan® Is combined with Laser and  /  or BLU-U® light source for a safe and effective treatment for face, chest or back acne in both teens and adults.  All skin types can be safely treated.  Many clients prefer photodynamic therapy and laser treatments to topical or oral treatments that often have negative side effects like prolonged dryness, severe redness or adverse drug reactions.

 

·         The laser treatment addresses acne at the source by reducing sebaceous gland activity.
 
·         Photodynamic therapy with levulanâ can be combined with laser for the most effective treatment.
 
·         Photodynamic therapy causes treated area to be photosensitive for several days during which time redness and peeling will occur. Stay out of the sun during this time and consistently use sun block. 
 
 
 
·         Effects of laser treatments are cumulative and some individuals continue to improve up to two months after last treatment.  You will see improvement after each treatment using Photodynamic therapy with Levulanâ.
 
·         Sessions combining Laser treatments with Photodynamic Therapy (Levulanâ) can take up to several hours.
 
·         Typical course of treatment is 1 treatment every 3 weeks.  Number of treatments required vary according to individual circumstances.
